Back in July, you had to take the FCI Pre-Test. FCI stands for the "Force Concept Inventory" and is used by physics teachers to see how well students understand basic Newtonian forces and motion.
There were 30 multiple choice questions on the FCI. Some students did very well, but most got less than half correct.
I am not too worried about the lowish scores; it lets me see what our starting point is when we begin the year. Also, if you were worried that you didn't do too well, you will see that you are in good company.
